Annual Pool Shutdown

The Strathmore Aquatic Centre will be closed for annual shutdown from
August 29th, 2016 to approximately September 17th, 2016.

The front desk will be open 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday.

It’s that time of the year again…

The Town of Strathmore is presenting the REVS event for the Fall Winter season and invite your group or organization to participate. It will be held at the Strathmore Civic Centre on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 3:30 to 7:30 pm. Fill out the registration form and return it to the Strathmore Family Centre with payment. Please register early to ensure your spot and allow us to plan the layout. On your registration form, please ensure to specify what your focus will be, i.e. registration, fundraising, recruiting members, volunteers or handing out information. Deadline for registration is August 24, 2016. Tables are $22.00 each, GST included. Two chairs per table are provided. 

Please make cheques payable to the Town of Strathmore.

Please plan your display/registration area; bring banners, posters, balloons, brochures, handouts, etc. Ensure you have enough people to man the table, help prepare the displays, to help with set up and take down. The hall will be open after 1:00 pm for booth set up and we ask that you assist in the dismantling of your table and putting garbage in the containers provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for your group or association to showcase and promote your sport or event. This is your opportunity to:

        Registration                    Recruit Volunteers                                           Provide Services (assist, link people, classes, etc.)

                                             $$ Fundraise (bake sales [food must be pre-packed], draws, contest, etc.) $$

                                                                                                     Provide Information to the public

The Strathmore Aquatic Centre offers a wide range of lessons and programs for the whole family. Drop in classes for aqua-cise and deep water running are available throughout the week as well and lane swimming daily.

The Red Cross Swim Kids program is a ten level system that teaches all five strokes, promotes fitness and endurance, and gives swimmers lifelong skills to safely enjoy other aquatic pursuits. Red Cross is one of the most respected brands in aquatics around the world. Their programs focus on making water safety active, engaging and age appropriate. In each level participants are evaluated based on performance criteria and progress to the next level once they have met the appropriate level of completion. Additionally, private and semi-private lessons are available by request for kids and adults along with stroke improvement classes. So, what are you waiting for…sign up today!
