The Strathmore Aquatic Centre offers a wide range of lessons and programs for the whole family. Drop in classes for aqua-cise and deep water running are available throughout the week as well and lane swimming daily.
The Red Cross Swim Kids program is a ten level system that teaches all five strokes, promotes fitness and endurance, and gives swimmers lifelong skills to safely enjoy other aquatic pursuits. Red Cross is one of the most respected brands in aquatics around the world. Their programs focus on making water safety active, engaging and age appropriate. In each level participants are evaluated based on performance criteria and progress to the next level once they have met the appropriate level of completion. The Centennial Aquatic Centre is a full service facility open to resident, their families and friends. It offers a healthy environment for aquatic recreation, fitness and fun. Swimming classes, led by qualified instructors, are offered all year.
The Strathmore Family Centre the destination for ice sports in the winter including hockey, ringette, and figure skating. During the summer the facility is utilized for indoor lacrosse, ball hockey and roller hockey.
